Md. Ayat Ullah is a bright 9-year-old boy from Teknaf in south-east Bangladesh. Curious and thoughtful, he enjoys playing football with his friends and loves the colour red. He often wears a simple shirt and trousers, and carries himself with quiet confidence. Ayat dreams of becoming a lawyer one day, hoping to stand up for fairness and give a voice to people who are not heard.
Ayat lives with his parents and family members in a household supported by his father’s farming work, which brings in a modest income. With several family members to care for, resources can be stretched, yet his family remains determined to support his education.
