Arifa is an imaginative 8-year-old girl from south-central Bangladesh with a thoughtful and expressive nature. Born on 14 July 2017, she loves drawing and often becomes absorbed in her colourful artwork. She enjoys playing with her dolls, wearing her favourite pink frocks, and sharing meals of rice and fish with her family. Arifa dreams of becoming a journalist one day so she can tell important stories and give a voice to people who need to be heard.
She lives with her parents in a modest household supported by her father’s work as a day labourer, which provides a modest income. Her mother cares for the home and serves as her guardian, encouraging Arifa’s creativity and love of learning. Although resources are limited, her family is determined to give her the best possible start in life.
Through access to quality education at JAAGO Foundation School, Arifa is building confidence and communication skills. With steady encouragement and opportunity, she can continue learning and move closer to achieving her dream.
